In the beginning of one chapter, there is a huge foreshadowing of the entire series, but the result will come about ten or eleven volumes later (sorry). I'll leave you to guess which event it is, but...anyway, there really are two main events in this: The twins' fight and the physical exam. In the former...obviously, the twins fight. All that really happens is they die their hair and throw stuff at each other, so there's really no permanent damage. And in the latter, Haruhi has to maintain her male disguise while facing a school physical.
Wonderful book—a great resource to have in your library. Watch out though, it might invite you to think about the ways in which we are privileged. Enjoy!!
