A must read for all graduate students. I only wish I would have discovered it earlier. I found this book to be a tremendous resource in learning how to read efficiently and effectively. I particularly benefited from the authors discussion of the levels of reading. Even though this book outlines how to read a variety of texts, I found it most helpful when reading for content. Principles like- find the important words and come to terms with them, mark the most important sentences in the book and discover the propositions they contain, and locate the basic arguements in connection to the propositions dictate how I approach written text.
