My wife turned me on to this series and I am glad she did. This answers the question of: What would happen if the police had to deal with magic, werewolves, vampires and every other beastie that has the audacity to come out from under a bridge to rob a 7-11. The answer is the Occult Crimes Investigation Unit. The protagonist is a hard lived cop living in a small town. Vamps, witches and sorcerers abound and his team is the one that has to deal with the mess. This is not a kids book. Adult characters and a lot of violence make this book a quick, fun read. Highly recommended.
I LOVE THIS BOOK. I couldn't get enough. You really feel for the family and its a really timeless story. soooo good!
