A great story and gives alot of insight into the lives of how Saudi woman live. Their way of life is so foreign to us. Sad that these women must be subserviant to their husbands, fathers and all men. The main character, Liz Ryan is a Plastic Surgeon and she is sent to Saudi Arabia to help in a hospital there for a year. Liz becomes deeply involved with the lives of some of these women, much against the advice of her American counterpart Dr. Bob Gould. Liz can't stand the way these women are treated and willingly involves herself in their world. Her escape from Saudi Arabia with a young Saudi girl in tow, is truly captivating. Liz learns alot about herself and what she is forced to do under certain circumstances. A very brave woman indeed!!
