A clever novel, but also feels like it's trying a little too hard to be clever. The central characters of Sasha and Bennie run throughout the book, but each chapter has a different focus and narrator. The chapters with second-person narration and powerpoint slides made me smile at the fact of them being used, but ultimately detracted focus rather than added to the story. Very real and interesting characters though and great variety. Good and enjoyable although ultimately too disjointed to be truly memorable.

A good read. Short vignettes, poignantly funny.
This turned out to be pretty interesting. There are certainly dimensions to be critical of, but I think she tries to examine wedding rituals and their significance in the context of gender roles in marriage and society more broadly effectively. It could be useful for anyone who felt very conflicted about planning a wedding, particularly due to the wedding industry and the overwhelming expectations of others, and also for anyone who will plan a wedding and will inevitably confront the "wedding-industrial complex" and themselves in the process.
