This book completely tore my heart out. It was definitely a half of a box of tissue kind of book. Following 16 year old Tessa's last months of a 4 year battle with Leukemia, this book allows readers to experience her illness through all of the senses: smell, taste, sound, sight, and touch. It was sad, touching, and the characters were full of dimension and life, especially Tessa, who is the one person losing hers.
