Really really disappointing. I expected a decent read but this was actually pretty crappy and poorly done - don't waste your time.
The way that Sarah Vowell can turn something as mundane as a road trip to obscure historical sites into a hilarious and smart examination of the American condition deserves nothing but the most devoted book-crushes from her readers.
This book was missing a little in plot, but it was still a fun read. I am going to be spoiled when I run out of short fiction books to go through. A theme that I noticed in Lewis' writings is that "things never happen in the same way twice." Instead of fixing everything like he did in the first book, Aslan took a different approach. In "A Grief Observed" Lewis notes that he will not be able to connect with his dead wife in a similar relationship in the hereafter because of that principle.
