I love Janet Evanovich. This book is another of her between the numbers series. It has a funny plot along with the suspense of a mystery.

Bone Crossed starts up immediately after Iron Touched, and ties in with Blood Bound, so it really can't be read out of order. My initial impression is that it isn't had strong as the previous books. Her writing is as strong as ever, but is lacking the intensity and close-to-home-ness of the earlier books. We don't see as many new aspects of the world, but rather the plot elaborates on what we already know. Overall the pace is slow, and at times the plot seemed obvious. While the characters are all pretty well rounded out I would have liked more build up and back story for the new characters. I did love getting to see more of Stefan and workings of the vampires. I also like that the series has finally sorted out the romantic relationships, and yet there is still enough issues in the relationship that it's still interesting. Over all it wasn't the best in the series, but a worthwhile followup and a satisfying read.
