Fascinating semi-bio on the 2008 presidential candidate. Rich in cultural reference. Insightful and full of history of the Senator's family and heritage. He even lives in Indonesia at one point! =)
A powerful talk. I have never looked at victimhood so clearly. It reinforces my religious convictions concerning agency and accountability. It helps me to make sense out of a world that is often filled with both brutal and broken people who must both love and forgive. It is a great companion read with Bonds That Make Us Free.
This book has two pages to inspire you for each day of the year. Broad in its teaching --- but, if you can always find something that relates to yourself by being open to the messages it teaches - I'm really enjoying it.
