This is Shakespeare's darkest play not only because of the restricted palette of its images--shades of black occasionally varied with the bright red of blood--but also because, in the play's vicious world of warfare and witchcraft, its hero is half-damned from the start.
There were parts of this book that I did like, but mostly I was disappointed. I felt like there was so much potential but I just found the book to be kind of slow and boring. And though this may make me seem cruel, I couldn't help but feel frustrated with the main character. Sure she lost her husband and I can't even imagine what that must be like but she was just really whiny.
