This was a fast and easy book to read because it's told in journal form. I liked it because it gives a glimpse into an American girl's life in 1830. I liked reading about Catherine's family and community, and about her day-to-day chores and responsibilities, and her hopes and worries. I also liked how the narrative voice always felt authentic--the journal entries were never overly poetic or finely written, and so the book has a sense of feeling real.
I like this book since it talks about the UFO.
