Le Carre's book is somewhat more developed than the script used for the film. If you saw and enjoyed the movie, then you will likely enjoy the book as well.

I cheated and read this all at once as a pastime during work. It has a ribbon bookmark. I love two things in this world: miscellany and built-in bookmarks.
I probably would have liked this more if I were a teenage boy, but overall it was a good book. The story is really good, I just got bored with all of the build up, fighting, etc. I feel like it would have been better if you cut out part of it and got to the point, but then again I am not a teenage boy and all of the fighting was boring for me.
