First off, I cried. I actually cried during parts of this book and for a PR to do that to me is a great feat. I loved Rhage and Mary's relationship for its vulnerability, sacrifice, and strength. Ward could have easily gone cookie-cutter with Rhage's character (gorgeous guy with a terrible secret). We've seen so many of these types of heroes, but Rhage...Rhage is different. He's so complicated with all these layers of his personality. Mary is the same way. I loved this book so much.
