More great Burn Notice work by Todd, good stuff. I like the monologue by the main character, I like the other characters and the harder edge put on all parts, as opposed to the television show.

This book made be want to learn Portuguese so I could read it in the original. Author has fascinating use of punctuation, paragraph breaks (or lack of completely), and narrative that gives the reader the impression that the novel is not so much a thick bushel of prose, but one brilliantly telling sweep of the paintbrush on white canvas. There's one scene that is fairly sexually graphic, but a beautiful book overall.

It's just that the one that I'm reading is called Les hommes qui n'aimaient pas les femmes. Maybe the english translator thought that it would sound too gay... or something...

This book made me proud to read chick lit. Not only is it for females, but for music-lovers as well. A female lawyer from Brooklyn wakes up one morning to find her body is inhabited by the great composer Schubert, trying to finish his unfinished symphony. Not only does it send her on a quest to find herself, but it's an ode to how the most purest melodies can change your life forever. The brief glimpses we're given of what Schubert is thinking are poetic and pitch-perfect.
