A fun book to read. My son Hunter also is loving the comic book feel and a fun tale.
The second book in the Malazan Book of the Fallen is, if possible, better than the first. Some old characters are back. The story ranges widely as it does in the first. Breathtaking scope and imagination. I don't think I'll be putting this series or author down any time soon.
This book that was a fantastic start to a great series. I loved how Riordan blended suspense and action to growing up. It was a thriller, and it was a joy to read. I also learned a thing or two about Greek mythology. What I didn't like about the book was the ending. It was so random and confusing. Even though it had one flaw, you still should read this book. It is a heart-stopper. You've got to check out the beginning of an amazing series.
I really enjoyed the book and the perspective from which it was written. The climax took me by surprise even though there was extensive foreshadowing.
