If I could have rated this book a "20" I would have done it!! What an exciting, page turning, chilling, psychological thriller!! WOW!!
How effective is your intuition? You first reaction? Malcom explores those decisions seemingly made in the blink of an eye, with just the information at hand. Sometimes too much information can not only keep us from making the right choices - the acqusition of it can take the opportunity away from us to do it entirely. Now if I can only figure out what "the tipping point" of this book is... ;)
Like most anthologies, this is a mixed bag - a few great pieces and some mediocre ones. Robinson's notes are thoughtful, and I thought the inclusion of poetry was ambitious, if not successful. Particularly good were the R.A. Lafferty story "Boomer Flats" and Robert Silverberg's "House of Bones".
