I would say that I don't know how this book won "Best Audio Book" from Library Journal, but a theory has occurred to me. There's nothing wrong with the narrator's vocal work, but it can't cover up the text's imperfection. This book is Overdue! starts well, with a rousing cheer for the librarians who stood up to warrantless investigations. However, the subsequent activities are less interesting to the general public. (Some of them even sound like a big waste of time and money to this reader.) Worse, there's very little connecting the segments, except for the breathless refrain, "Librarians are so cool, they're so cool, they're so cool!"

So far, this is actually pretty decent, for a grocery store paperback. It should be. I paid $7 for this crap! Okay, I actually think this was a lot better than it promised to be. I am actually even saving it for my mom.
