Could not put it down. I was up till 3am some nights reading. LOVE IT!!
tightly written, atmospheric. This book maintained a low level of tension throughout, and left me desiring to travel to Italy.
Might not have been a good choice for a "bed time" book, but of course Kurt Vonnegut is a legend, and for good reason. The title comes from the childhood string game, which, as one of the characters observes, is a crock, because there's "no damn cat, and no damn cradle!" But Vonnegut ties up all the strings of this story beautifully.
