(almost done) This book doesn't teach technical writing skills, it discusses a philosophy the author uses when writing non-fiction. I think this philosophy can also be applied to other parts of your life outside of writing.

Fascinating look at 20th century modernism and pop culture as reflected thru music.

I thought it was quite good! Book 1 was definitely my favourite out of all 4. I thought it seemed very interesting to follow Ged in his quest to confront his enemy. It is also interesting to learn about how the Magic System works in the Earthsea books! Book 2 kind of threw me a bit if I must be honest! It starts with a random girl in a random place! I was expecting to read more about Ged and what he did after book 1! But instead we get to read about the "Eaten one"... The ending of the book becomes a bit more interesting as we learn more about how Ged fits in this story, however I was very upset that so much time had passed since book 1! I thought Ged could have had a lot of great stories for us to be told about during his young years. Book 3... Well, that's a hard one! I enjoyed the overall feel of the book... Some bits seemed more interesting than others. I quite enjoyed it how the prophecy unfolded itself, but once again I was upset with the ammount of time that had passed since book 2! Ged was elderly already... WHAT?! I believe people prefer to read books about younger, stronger and fitter people than an old man who cant even use magic properly anymore... but eh, maybe that is why the book is in the boy's point of view? Book 4 - I quite liked book 4 which I still find funny! There wasn't a lot of action or anything like that until pretty much the end, but I think the way Book 4 is written really connects us to the characters. The ending of the book was a bit expected, although still surprising! A pretty good book in general! I really enjoyed reading the series, but I think the Ged's story would have been much better off left as a Stand-alone novel instead of making it into a Quartet.
