I'm a sucker for collections of essays / short stories, and this is a great light read.
If you have no direct experience with the problems of drug addiction, this book will open your eyes. If you have a family member who is addicted, this will tell you that you are not alone, help you cope and perhaps give you some realistic hope. It is not necessarily an easy book to read, but I could not put it down.
This man should be president!
