I enjoyed this book thoroughly, but I did not find it particularly hard to put down. It's of the Umberto Eco variety, with a feminist twist. As I've said before, however, this is a genre that is tough to touch. Eco just does it so well. Nevertheless, strong heroines rule, so give this a spin.
I enjoyed this book. However, it was frustratingly slow and detailed at the beginning. Half way through the book it redeemed itself and now I have to read the third one.
