I wasn’t sure what I thought of this book when I first started reading it, it is a bit more sci-fi than I usually read I am more of a fantasy reader. However as the story went along (about chapter 27) I found myself caught up in the excitement of it. Just remember this is a young adult book in every sense of the word it has a lot of angst and a sticky sweet love story. But it is balanced out with the action and fighting, which of course doesn’t come in full force towards the end of the book. I liked the characters John (Number Four) was likeable and I really like Sam and Henri. They are likeable enough that you do cheer for them. I look forward to seeing the movie and will probably read the next book in this series. I listened to this on audio and it took awhile for the narrator Neil Kaplan to grow on me I didn’t like some of his voices they sounded cartoony to me but by the end it wasn’t so bad. 3 stars
One of my favorite books. Many of the scenes are still vivid in my mind.
