Wonderfully drawn character and I enjoyed watching her grow up. However, I cannot seem to finish the last 15 pages or so. I book is lying around the house somewhere, but I just haven't picked it up to finish it. I guess it just went on too long. It already felt like her story was over, she just had to wrap it up.
I remember reading GWTW when I was twelve. I couldn't put it down and read it in its entirety in one day on a lazy, hot summer Saturday. While criticized by some, it remains the quintesential southern novel of it genre on my list. Of course, I cannot imagine Scarlett without seeing Vivian Leigh and Rhett without seeing Clark Gable.The movie does not disappoint.
