I got this book from my fellow Apocalypsie at BEA 2012 and out of all the books I laid out before my three boys--this is the one they wanted to read first. It took us awhile to get from cover to cover because we read only a chapter a night, but I can tell you that we all looked forward to pulling this out every evening. Why was is so good? First of all, it was different. I feel like FALSE MEMORY is just as unique of a book as The Maze Runner. Through out the whole book we were curious which is a wonderful feeling. Secondly, it was mentally engaging. There were intense ripples to the story line. There were moments when I had to stop and think about the ramifications of what was going on, but it was never so complicated that I couldn't wrap my mind around it. It was challenging in the best of ways. Third, the cover is awesome! This is one of those ARCs that my boys will not let me give away on my blog LOL! We can't wait for book two to hit the shelves!!!
According to my list, The Private Patient is the last of the Dalgleisch novels (although I will check). It follows that attractive formula James has practiced through fourteen other books, a technique that is so familiar by now but still works enchantingly well.
