That being said I was defiantly among the ones who loved it. I thought The Body Finder was an amazing mix of mystery, edge of your seat moments, sprinkled with a great amount of romance to make me want more! I found myself captivated by this book, I had to know what was going to happen. I had to know. Violet has this eerie ability of being drawn to the dead. Ever since she was a little girl, she has been finding dead animals. But one day at the age of 8 what she found was not an animal, but a dead body. Later on when Violet is in High School, there is a slew of terrible murders going on. Violet must put her fear aside, and do everything that she can do to track down the killer. Just when she thinks it's over... she soon realizes it is not, and just maybe she is in more danger then ever. As the reader you know this, which makes it that more nerve racking. Because you get bit's and pieces of the killers POV! So you know, but Violet does not. That being said when she made certain decisions I found myself talking to my book. Over & Over. I felt for Violet! She can feel it in her body when there is a body around. There is no stopping it. She is pulled to it, and she cannot rest, or think of anything else. But she is such a great character. I thought she was so very brave, and determined! If I was in her shoes, I am not sure I could be going to the extremes she was to find a killer. But she did what she had to do, to stop this man that was hurting these girls! I thought the mystery & suspense was very well written! I myself was pulled into this story! The romance between Violet & Jay was great! Although I found myself wanting Violet to speak up sooner. But, I understand wanting to keep your best friend you best friend, and not wanting anything to change. Not knowing if they feel the same! But I was so happy as to how everything played out. Jay is just so *sigh* sweet! Oh my. I love how he is such a good guy. He's not your typical guy. He's caring & how he is with Violet is just amazing. The Body Finder was hands down an amazing book. I will be getting Desires of the Dead soon, which is the next installment in The Body Finder series! I cannot wait to see where Derting takes me with her writing. Which was absolutely amazing.
true story about a mysterious murder. I didn't know it was true till I got to the last page though and read the authors statement. Really funny at times and entertaining. I highly recommend it.
Un clásico en toda la extensión de la palabra. Las reflexiones a las que lleva al lector con su historia al parecer simple y sencilla son estupendas. Lo único que me incomoda es su ambigüedad. Tiene todos los ingredientes para ser una historia para niños, pero algunos de sus temas (la relación de el Principito con la Rosa y con la Serpiente) no son precisamente para niños. Aún así, imperdible.
