Funny and witty.
I picked this book up on a whim and listened to it on CD. It was such a creative way to explore the extremes of characters from the eyes of a child.
Loved it. Yes, it's dark and morbid and the subject matter is something that no one wants to think about. But it is also extremely well-written, gripping and a page-turner. Looking forward to seeing the movie when it is released on DVD.
Time for me to get more toned and pumped the F up!
The first book that took me to the world of Tortall, a world I grew to love more and more for every page I read. At page one Alanna stole my heart and took me to a world I can only dream of entering. That is why I can read this book, and any other book in Tortall's series, multiple times.
