I read the Robot and Foundation series years ago and have been thinking about re-reading them. I came across this one on sale as an audiobook and jumped into the middle of the series. For the most part I think this book has held up well and it's a good combination SciFi/Detective novel. Elijah Baley is a good character although my favorite is Daneel. I wish he had played a bigger role. The main weakness for me was the character of Gladia. As is the case for so many female characters in earlier SciFi novels, she just seems weak and not really that interesting. Audiobook narrated by William Dufris.
This is a classic book that everyone should read at some point in time. I listened to it in audiobook format and it was read by Gary Sinise. He did an amazing job!
