This book is really good, i think. Its about these two kids. One is black and one is white. Marcus Brown is black and Eddie Russo is white. These two kids are all stars from Long Island city High School. They got a scholarship but only one got to go because Marcus got caught shooting someone. He wasn't trying to shoot him, him and Eddie was shooting around and shot someone on accident. They try to keep it a secret but Marcus ended up telling the police officers that he was the one that shot him and Eddie was just there. Marcus went to Prison and Eddie went to College. Marcus is not gonna be in prison for the rest of his life just a few years because the guy didn't press chargers and he survived. Once Marcus got back he found out the guy he shot was his teacher... They both ended up going to college to play basketball but they went to different schools.

It was good. Not the best book I have ever read but it was good. I love all of Melody Carlson's books :)

This book is great! I'm just sad that I had to leave it, half finished, so it could go back to the library. Don't think I didn't ponder mailing it back. Alas! I suppose I should get my own copy. It was great! For anyone who has read [American Gods], this book will have a familiar feel. It, too, is a story of ancient gods interwoven with modern day. Not surprisingly, Anansi plays a main role; his brother as well. Well written and interesting, this book is great. I want it back!
