more of an easy, entertaining read (with some grounding in sociological theory) than an academic book, but it did win an award in cultural sociology. recommended if you're interested in some of the "behind-the-scenes" of tv talk shows and their selection of participants.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to Kite Runner fans as well as anyone who likes a good (but not always cheery) story. The book gets to the difficult truth of how women are treated in other parts of the world by weaving a captivating storyline.
Better than Harry Potter.
I thought this book was a tad bit slower, and definitely not enough Patch and Nora action. Although it was still very very very good. How can you not love it? Becca did a fantastic job on writing this series and I can NOT wait for the final one to come out! Although I will be sad to see it ending. :( I loved how everything played out but I was so mad at some parts. lol.
