This was an ARC and the second book in the trilogy. I don't know if it was just because this was an ARC, or if this is how the finished book will be, but it seemed to be all over the place. It seemed to jump from one thing to another and at times didn't explain things fully. But overall I enjoyed reading it and look forward to the third book.
orgive me, my eyboard is broen. Tis as one o tose boos in ig scoo tat I enjoy more tan just areciation. I oved it a. Te caracters, te situations, te conicts and emotions, te dynamics, te teme... I connected. I don't see o it's ossibe, at it it being a about ar and suc, but I did. Remarque uses a beautiu coaberation o emotion and detacment... Recommended. :)
I loved it, the weave of characters, the history, I found it hard to put down.

Impressive how Marquez manages to raise all his usual questions about truth and storytelling in a much, much shorter work -- this doesn't have the epic feeling of One Hundred Years of Solitude, but it's still very, very good, especially if you sit and think about it all after reading it.
