Wells Tower is without a doubt one of my new favorite short story writers. For some reason I find him a cross between T.C. Boyle and Charles D’Ambrosio. The stories that stuck out the most in this great collection were “The Brown Coast,” “Executors of Important Energies,” “Down Through the Valley,” and “Leopard.”
I usually like anything he writes - nothing Pulitzer Prize winning, but always pretty entertaining and sometimes really enthralling. Don't take the quality of his books from the quality of the movies made from his books - the book is ALWAYS better - even Jurassic Park.
