Son derece tahriş edici: davranışsal ve zihinsel anakronizmlerle dolu. Marmee'nin yorumlarından hiçbirine inanmadım, Küçük Kadınlara yapılan referanslar kitabı travesti; tarihsel bilgi zayıftı ama diğer eksiklikleri gizlemek için bir manto gibi giyildi. Utanç çünkü konsepti çok seviyorum - Küçük Kadınların babası hakkında çok az şey duyuyorsunuz. Ama bu o değildi.
A colleague recommended this book claiming she absolutely loved it. However, I'm not convinced! It has taken me ages to get into it and I have currently stalled. Will have to persevere...
I was forcing myself through this book until I got 180 pages in -- then I could not put it down. It is worth it to hang on to the end
** spoiler alert ** Interesting to see more of the Marrok and his pack. The final showdown was interesting but the book just missed a mark. I can't really put my finger on why. I understand that Anna had lived through a traumatizing situation, so she wasn't going to be as outgoing or headstrong as Mercy or some of the other female characters we've met. I wasn't expecting her to be. Maybe it was just she was supposed to be mystical and yet no one really knew or understood why. I mean yes, it sort of gets explained but...I don't know. I'm going to see how this series goes though and proceed to the second book.
